KINGTON KITCHEN
The Kington Kitchen was handcrafted in our Bologna collection, one of our most popular shaker designs featuring elegant pencil beading around the classic doors and drawers. This kitchen was painted in 'Vulcan 040', a timeless smoky grey colour, complimented with Iron handles from Crofts&Assinder and a 'Carrara Quartz' worktop.
Our clients have only been living in their home for a few years, but it quickly became clear that the original kitchen wasn't meeting their needs. They struggled with a lack of flow between their workstations, which made cooking and everyday tasks feel disjointed and inefficient. In addition, they were in desperate need of more workspace to accommodate their lifestyle. When they came to us for help, we couldn't wait to tackle the challenge and create a kitchen that was not only functional but also a joy to use.
Because the room is long and narrow, our designers decided to keep the original U-shape layout from the previous kitchen. This classic configuration makes the most of the space, ensuring efficiency and functionality. However, to avoid making the room feel cramped or overcrowded, we chose to leave the walls free of cabinetry and instead place some painted shelving around the room. The result is an open and airy feel, with plenty of storage space from the shelving and an abundance of worktop space—exactly what our clients had been hoping for.
We didn't stop there, though. To enhance the practicality and storage options of the kitchen, we incorporated a stunning countertop cupboard. This classic feature, complete with practical bi-folding doors and warm oak shelving, adds an elegant yet functional element to the space. It's the perfect spot for tucking away daily essentials and keeping the countertops clutter-free while maintaining easy access to frequently used items. The combination of thoughtful design and clever storage solutions ensured that this kitchen not only met but exceeded our clients' expectations, creating a space that fits seamlessly into their home and lifestyle.
