IVY KITCHEN
We handcrafted The Ivy Kitchen in our Ferrara collection - our classic shaker design with uncluttered lines and simple, smooth cabinetry. Our clients chose 'Pluto 020' for their kitchen colour, a timeless grey with blue undertones creating a sophisticated aesthetic, and 'Vesta 170' for their utility and freestanding bespoke cabinetry, a lighter blue-grey colour. The interior of the countertop cupboard was painted in 'Apollo 280', our lovely bright yellow colour, perfect for adding a pop of colour into a kitchen design. Our clients chose aged brass handles for their cabinetry and a combination of 'Calcutta Magnifico' quartz and Oak for their worktops to complete their look.
Our clients have been lovingly renovating their barn for several years, carefully restoring it to preserve its rustic charm while incorporating modern comforts. When the time finally came to design their dream kitchen, they entrusted us with the task, and we couldn't have been more thrilled to be part of this exciting project! The Ivy kitchen now graces this stunning barn conversion on the outskirts of Hereford, situated in a bright, open-plan space that perfectly captures the essence of countryside living.
Our clients envisioned a spacious kitchen where they could indulge in their passion for baking and cooking while also having a welcoming area to entertain guests. We took this vision to heart and crafted a kitchen that is as functional as it is beautiful. One of the standout features of this design is the kitchen island, which is truly a masterpiece. Measuring over 2 meters wide, this bespoke island is one of the largest we've ever created, and it serves as the heart of the kitchen. With ample space for preparation, cooking, and even casual dining, it's no wonder our clients love it!
To add a touch of innovation and convenience, we designed a stunning countertop cupboard with bi-folding doors, offering both practicality and style. Inside, you'll find plenty of oak shelving and countertop space, making it the perfect spot for storing all your morning essentials. But what truly sets this breakfast station apart is the interior, which our clients chose to paint in 'Apollo 280,' a vibrant and cheerful yellow. This bold colour not only complements the timeless grey cabinetry but also adds a fun and unexpected element that never fails to wow guests.
Not only did we craft The Ivy Kitchen, but we also created The Ivy Utility Room, a hidden gem concealed behind an oak pocket door. Though it may be one of the smallest rooms in the house, it is undoubtedly one of the most hardworking. The compact run of shaker cabinetry, painted in 'Vesta 170,' a light blue-grey shade, brings brightness and charm to this small space, ensuring that even the task of cleaning is done in style.
In addition to the kitchen and utility designs, we also crafted a freestanding chest of drawers and a monk's bench. These pieces feature exquisite oak detailing and provide extra storage space without compromising on style, making them perfect additions to the barn's interior.
The Ivy kitchen, with its blend of classic design, innovative features, and thoughtful details, is a true reflection of our client's vision and the beauty of their barn conversion. Every element, from the expansive kitchen island to the vibrant breakfast station, has been carefully considered to create a space that is not only practical but also a joy to live in. This project has been a labour of love for both our clients and us, and we are delighted to see their dream kitchen come to life in such a breathtaking setting.
