DORSTONE BARN KITCHEN
The Dortsone Barn kitchen was crafted in our Turin Collection, the main run of cabinetry is painted in Jupiter 070, and the Island is in Farrow & Ball Pelt, and features brushed nickel handles with a Carrara Quartz worktop.
Located in the picturesque Herefordshire countryside, the Dorstone Barn stands as a unique showcase of our design prowess. Our clients, dissatisfied with their kitchen's layout, sought a transformation that would not only optimise the space but also create distinct zones for cooking, dining, and socialising. With this vision in mind, we embarked on a journey to turn their kitchen into a harmonious and inviting space.
The importance of a handmade kitchen was paramount to our clients, reflecting their desire for a unique and personalised space. They sought a design that featured a subtle grain, adding just the right touch of detail without overpowering the sleek, modern aesthetic they envisioned.
The Dorstone Barn kitchen was crafted from our Turin Collection, one of our modern designs featuring innovative push-to-open cabinetry. Our clients loved the contemporary design, but they still wanted to include a subtle grain to showcase the high-quality materials used in their handmade kitchen, so we handpainted their cabinetry allowing the natural grain to be subtly visible creating a unique design.
The main run of cabinetry is painted in 'Jupiter 070', a soft, neutral colour, but our designers got creative by suggesting we paint one side of the kitchen island in a contrasting colour to create a unique colour palette; our clients loved this idea! They chose a rich colour from Farrow & Ball known as 'Pelt', a deep, dramatic shade that adds character and colour to this sleek kitchen design.
The choice of a Carrara Quartz worktop elevates the kitchen's aesthetic, providing a luxurious surface that is both practical and visually stunning. The delicate veining in the quartz complements the cabinetry beautifully, tying the entire design together.
